Manne's Biergarten is another great example of the diversity of Playa del Carmen. You may not be envisioning schnitzel while packing your sun lotion, however this is a unique spot to hit for great food and a friendly atmosphere.
Owners Manne and Susie are always on-site to entertain their guests in this cozy German-style pub. Ask about their house tequila and you’re sure to get a sample. Their cold draft beer served in frozen mugs is the perfect compliment to the currywurst with pommesfrits. They have a full menu with all the traditional German dishes. Try the goulash with boiled potatoes and red cabbage…it doesn’t get any more Old Country than that!
Wednesday night is rib night, which is a huge hit with a particular local crowd so get there early! Also, on Friday nights they do a pork roast which is always busy. Tuesday is their day off, but every other evening is sure to be entertaining as well as gastronomically satisfying. Plus, you can’t go wrong with their great prices.
