|  This cool and hip bar/restaurant is perfectly located on 5th Avenue, and with a totally open design it’s a great place for people-watching. Decorated with an eclectic flair and kitschy Mexican art, Kitxen is a great example of a modern Mexican bar, evident in details such as the pretty wrought iron chairs, rose-themed bar and large statue of the Virgin of Guadalupe.
Kitxen is owned by Saul, the lead singer of the very popular Mexican rock band Los Jaguares, and his wife, who have lived in Playa for many years. Saul’s connections to the music world translate into weekly live performances by various bands, sometimes even Saul himself!
Kitxen is the perfect spot for chilling, having a few tasty drinks and grabbing some good food. On the menu is a good variety of Asian food, Greek shish kebobs with homemade tzatziki, hamburgers with an unusual touch (like the Chicken in yellow curry-burger), pasta dishes, vegetarian dishes and fresh salads – in other words, much more than just the normal bar fare.
