Looking foor spanish school/teacher!

Querio aprender mas espanol....

November 7th I come to Playa to stay (may be) for one year during that time I would like to learn more spanish. I already studied some spanish in Guatemala last year but I would like to speak and understand more than I do now. Especially because my boyfriend is mexican! I would like to have someting like one or two hours lessons once or twice a week. I know there is Solexico spanish school but if I understand well you can only take lessons for the whole week and it's quite expensive...
Can somebody help me?

Solexico is your option!....why don't you contact Gerardo?, maybe he can put you in a special course that fits your needs OR try Playalingua and see what the can offer you.
but if that is not what you want, there is a small spanish school in the 5 ave between 12 and calle 14 (they sell smothies and milkshakes in the mornings )I can remember the name of the bussines, but I saw a spanish teacher for 7 usd/hr....and for what I understood you can choose when to go....good luck!

Gerardo is great. Don't have any first hand info on the school, other than driving by, but from meeting him, I'm sure it is a top notch organization! It appears they can tailor a program to fit anyone's needs. And at an affordable price.

Have fun,

Signed, Envious in the NorthWest

Hi Lotita, Solexico and Gerardo are great. There are random places where people can "teach you Spanish" around town for less money, but I would venture to guess that it might not be the same quality of education that you would receive at a language school. Good luck!

Muchas Gracias!!

Thanks to all of you for such nice words ... I am getting all misty eyed . Lolita, I sent you a message about our private classes. Sorry for not being in touch lately, but I was in Pto Vallarta for a week. Nice place, but definitively not Playa. Kurt, how was the rest of your stay down here? Has anyone posted the pictures from the ******?

Hasta pronto,

Gerardo

The rest of our stay was very, very good. We had a blast. Made to Cozumel for an afternoon and a night of dancing in Cancun. All the rest of our time was spent in Play or at our resort.

Yes. I only had a couple. They are mixed in my gallery with many other fun pics!

Hope to see you again next time. It may be awhile before we get to Playa again (although we plan to), we have many other places to see as well.

Gerardo,

Help! I have sent several e-mails regarding the registration form I sent in to Solexico and I have never gotten a response...I am planning on coming the end of February and just wanted to make sure I was squared away.. I would appreciate your help and really look forward to meeting you.. everyone says you are a great teacher (and guy!)

I had the pleasure of attending Solexico for 2 weeks awhile ago and I can't say enough good things about the school and Gerardo. Solexico is a really special place, the grounds are beautiful, the classes are small and focused, the teachers are good-natured and engaging, and their methods WORK. I wish I was there right now.
