Tough Test 12
And I'll attempt the pencil to paper ones since I agree with all of Cuffed's other answers: 1. 620 3. It seems like the obvious answer is 4 mph, but I figured it another way and got 3 mph, so I'm going with that. 5. 2.4% 7. 50X50 yard area, or 2500 square yards 9. I came up with Friday... but my head was spinning after reading all of those afters and immediately afters before the day afters

The offical answers.
Tough Test 12 - Answers 1. 620. 125 ÷ 1/5 = 625 + 5 = 630 - 10 = 620 2. Beatniks 3. 3 mph. Assume the journey is 6 miles each way. Then at 6 mph, the outward jog will take 1 hour, and the return trip 3 hours. This means it will take 4 hours to travel the 12 miles, or 1 hour to travel 3 miles. 4. Quiche 5. 2.4% 6. Folgers coffee 7. 3,185 square yards. The largest area you can enclose with a single perimeter is a circle. If the circumference is 200 yards, and circumference = 2 pi r, where r = radius of a circle and pi = 3.142. 200 = 2 pi r, r = 200 ÷ (2 X 3.14) = 31.85 yards. Area of a circle = pi r squared = 3.14 X (31.85 X 31.85) = 3,185 yards. 8. Captain 9. Friday 10. Superman |

I read 5 wrong , my fault...I was thinkin of the percentage of the weekly work load per day. oooooops. total increase of 2.4 % over a 6 day week meant .4 %per day...the math looked too convenient....2.4 / 6 was so obvious I didnt read any further.
Thanks for the fun Bumper. BTW in another thread thwere was mention of "at my office" Didnt think you had a job!!!!!!!!!!!! With all the time you spend on trips.... |
