just back from Sacbe
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to post a quick note, following my trip to Playa/Sacbe last week. Great things happening in our village...lots of construction and cool homes being built. Tohoku park and cenote are beautiful with all the gardening and sculptures. What a treasure we've got there...nothing like a cenote swim on a hot afternoon.
Bill, it was great to hang with you and talk house design. I really enjoyed that. And thanks for the offer to hook me up with some gardeners in Sacbe.
Another Sacbe friend let me use her palapa and spent my first couple of nights sleeping in the village.What a great experience walking up to all the morning bird calls in the jungle. I just love the pace of things in Sacbe.
Spent some time cutting trails on my lot...time to get it cleared so we can start contemplating some plantings. Won't be real for me until I've got my mango and lime trees planted.
Anyway, just wanted to say all's well in Sacbe and there's lotsa cool activity going on. Came home to minus 10 degree Celcius weather...so Sacbe's looking mighty fine right now from an Eastern Canadian perspective.
