New Japaneese Restaurant!!!
Hola,
I have been meaning to write this for a few weeks. A new VERY GOOD japaneese restaurant opened in the corner of 6th st. and 30th av. (Yep only a block and a half from my office ). If you want good sushi, noodles, etc. this is the best place in town. It is not very visible, but worth the visit. Anyway, just wanted to share the info to those sushi lovers!!! Hasta pronto, G |

Delmy and I have been meaning to try that place, called... what is it... some kind of pun... Koma Sushi, or something like that (as in the Spanish command coma, "eat" + sushi). We were disappointed that it wasn't a kuru-kuru (conveyor belt) sushi place, though, which (if you could get the equipment here) might prove mightily popular and more economical.
Anyway, there's also the relatively new Kabuki right near us on 8th street, halfway between the beach and 5th, which is to say, across from Treetops, basically. Our webmaster, who also used to live in Japan, and his fiancée, who is Japanese, were here about a month ago and tried it and it met with their satisfaction. Also it's nice to walk by there and see multiple real Japanese people really speaking Japanese! I don't know if I've ever seen anyone Japanese at other places. What about Koma Sushi in that regard, Gerardo? |

Ah, well, then given those comments and the location -- we pass it every day coming in and out of the hotel, for Pete's sake! -- we'll really have to get our act together and try it.
Think we're headed to La Parrilla tonight, however, as everything is half price in honor of their anniversary. Steve |

I have seen a few Japaneese poeple eating there. One of the owners is Japaneese and the other is Korean I believe. It is very good. The sashimi was great. I walked by the place you mentioned on 8th, but it was closed. Will definitively try it. I hope both places survive. Great to have some options...

Dunno, but I have a question for you: is the dancing thing for real? Have some female guests right now who are looking for salsa dance partners...

Uh-oh: looks like something else is wonky now in the emoticons department. That was supposed to be the "ponder" one, which is yellow and has interestingly raised eyebrows. As far as i can see, it's entered as it should be...
