Oh I agree, it really IS difficult!
I took a week off in Oct to go to Punta Cana and got sick as soon as I got home, really sick too. Lost another week there and when I got back, it was like starting from scratch. Couldn't lift half of what I had been lifting, I felt like a baby!

Then went to Playa in Dec so took another week off. And of course, got sick when I returned and lost another week.

I pushed myself back quicker this time though, who has the time to waste? Not me! When I broke my thumb and had surgery last April, I was told to be out for at least 8 weeks. I was back in the gym two days after surgery doing cardio (step/treadmill) and was back with my trainer 2 weeks after surgery. I had to hold the weight in my right hand in a really usual way (between my pointer and middle finger

) but I was not going to lose 8 weeks. Can you even imagine how hard it would have been to come back after being away that long?
