So basically, if you have an aversion to any of those items, you may check out now and head to the recipe forum at Locogringo
Still unsure if this event is for you???…. Analyze the following pic very carefully!
If this appears to be annoying and unacceptable childish behavior, you may check out now and head to the recipe forum at locogringo.
OK, now that we’ve weeded out a great many potential attendees, we can get on with the sign up.

#6 If it rains….. more Tequila and beer will be consumed
If you object to any of these rules, , you may check out now and head to the recipe forum at locogringo.
WHERE: SAN MARCOS/GUADALUPE RIVERS and Casa de los Dos Tejanos (all in Texas)
WHY: FOR THE FUN OF IT
NEED MORE INFO???: Here's a link to last years event PCTRTR VI
ITINERARY:
Thursday : Last year, for the early arrivers, we did fajitas at the house and then went down the road to Riley's tavern.... it was a good time so i see know reason not to do it again if need be
Friday : Basically travel days with a Pre- Party on the Patio. We'll probably have some meat on the grill but dinner will be FFY (fend for yourself). The PPOTP has been quite dangerous in the past, so don't get too carried away because we'll be leaving the house early on Saturday a.m.
Saturday : The big day, everybody needs to show up at Casa de los Dos Tejanos by 9:30 a.m at the latest and then we're off for a 4 hour float down the Guadalupe River. After a quiet and reserved float there may be time for a shower and short nap and then i'ts back to Casa de los dos Tejanos for a Luling City Market BBQ dinner and fabled Party on the Patio.
Sunday : This day will begin w/ the harsh realization of how much Tequila and beer you consumed the day before and then it's off to the incredible San Marcos River where we have a quick brunch (leftover BBQ probably) and put in our toobs at Spring Lake and then float about 2 1/2 hours-3 hours down to Thompsons Island.... attendees can then disperse at will and the remainder can go eat late lunch. If river flow is low, it may only be a 1 1/2 hour float to Rio Vista and then spend some time doin "The Chute"
EXPECTED EXPENSES:
(NOTE: most of the regular attendees know this, but for any newbies interested, I don't do this gig to make money, in fact, I'm usually out about $300 or so when it's all said and done)
TOOB RENTAL: $16-$18 on the Guadalupe float including additional cooler toobs, once I know the number of attendees, I can cut a deal with the outfitter. The PCTRTR VI Guadalupe float was a great section of the river and not extremely dangerous, I'll make the call on which section of the 'Lupe we'll float a couple of weeks before the regatta. Toob rental may be $10-$12 on the San Marcos float, that includes a shared cost for however many cooler toobs we need (yes, cooler toobs are a necessity).
PRE-PARTY on the PATIO: strictly FFYD and BYOT. If you want to grill here, that's cool, if you need restaurant info, just ask....and I imagine some of the party will overflow into Riley's Tavern again
PARTY on the PATIO: the plan is for mass quantities of Luling City Market BBQ Ribs, Brisket, and Sausage with beans, bread and potato salad. I'm thinkin that for convenience, the cost will be about a $12 donation and any excess collections will just be donated to one of the local river cleanup funds.....and we are talkin world class BBQ here!!! If you don't do red meat, we can grill a chicken or some fish here, I just can't grill for 50 people....... if your a vegan, your more than welcome to forage thru our extensive flower beds, just don't touch my agave plants
TEQUILA EXPENSES : You have a platinum Visa card don't you???
OFFICIAL TEQUILAS: Herradura Selecion Suprema (your BBQ dinner is free if you bring this choice tequila! ), Don Julio 1942, Don Julio anejo, Chinaco anejo, 1921 Reserva Especial, Centenario anejo, Don Fernando anejo, Espolon anejo, Tonala Suprema Reserva, Don Eduardo anejo, Partida reposado, El Diamante del Cielo, Cazadores anejo or reposado, El Tesoro anejo, Buscadores, Sauza Tres Generaciones, Sauza Hornitos (margarita fuel).... and possibly more
T-Shirts : Last years shirts and tanks were a success I think, would gladly do it again if there is enough demand. Last years cost was $20 each due to custom design and low volume purchase
LODGING : Summer time is tourist season in San Marcos/New Braunfels, last minute hotel rooms might be a bitch to find. I have this list of hotel contact info, it should be correct, but if you have any trouble just send me Private Message.
