Pepper spray in Mexico
Just curious because I've never come across it in Mexico (not that I've really looked though)...can you purchase pepper spray anywhere? A lot of people ask about the safety in Playa, so it might be good to have for peace of mind when walking around drunk and/or alone at night.

I was really referring to the girls that worry about their safety. I know of many here who carry it religiously when out at night (drunk or not). Kinda nice to have if you find yourself walking alone in a parking lot after dark, etc.

I should have included a
at the end of my post to indicate my feeble attempt at humor. The intent of your message was clear, I was just having a bit of fun with the image of a bunch of drunks having a pepper spray fight on 5th at 2 am. |

Saw a story recently about people who mistakenly misuse bear pepper spray by spraying it around their camp instead of in a bears eyes and nose as he attacks. Apparently the smell of the spray attracts bears rather than repelling them, they must think there is spicy food available. Moral to the story - if spraying pepper pray on 5th it may attract unintended wildlife.

nothing wrong with the ft...try Amsterdam????
Walk around in Amsterdam...you can not feel secure with the "so cald peper spray"...better walk around with a gun in amsterdam...when i for the first time walk around in PdC...i get a culmture shock and thought in one sec to move to PdC becouse i am a little sick and tyred of the danger...I live in the "so called" bad site of Amsterdam...I now how to move in the space i live in...but if you are not used to it...(much better ofcourse)...how do you feel in Asterdam...everybody is talking about Amsterdam...the red light district, the coffeeshops and me love living life there...but if you are not used to it...even pepperspray has no use...A lot of grazy people are walking around (like a lot of districts in the Us)...i am working now with drugs addicts (so called junky's) ...they are also making money by steeling from the toerists...pepperspray in 2004 in Amsterdam is something to lough about...so PdC maybe have some realy heavy people walking and working around, but (what i notice) for the toerist they are not a danger...Just dont mess with them and there business....
We can talk and talk nice to each other and yes i sometimes feel alone on this forum becouse i can not express the words of my feeling in english the way i want to...(like now) but i still believe in good people...like the people on this forum.... Yes...yes i am a little dramatic but i am also human...and a little drunk ![]() |

Shiantry, sounds like you need to move if it's that bad and dangerous in your area! I don't have an opinion because I haven't been there, unfortunately. Your english is fine, so don't worry about writing because of it. Obviously pepper spray won't help in many situations, but it's not a bad idea to have no matter what area you are in (bad things can happen anywhere). Just being smart and careful is probably the best thing one can do to be safe. Be careful! |
