You can buy coffee creamer. However, you can not buy French Vanilla coffee creamer. All the grocery stores have coffee creamer.

We took down our own coffee creamer. As long as it wasn't opened it was not a problem...

..ditto...
Our local favorite restaurant gave us the flavored packets, tear-off foil lids (non-powdered)
...and they required NO refrigeration..

Very true... I'm afraid. Great analogy... I'm a no worm gal myself.

When you're taking a roadtrip, those little coffee creamer packets and some imagination can turn crap coffee into a road worthy latte. I also lean towards the French vanilla but why bother toting those packets when a bottle of Bailey's would make a better traveling companion. The O'Reilly's Irish cream liqueur from Sam's Club subtitutes quite nicely too.

I think the more important concern is a good bean. I can go black or light, bitter or sweet, but the bean has to be good.

FYI: the worm only comes in some mezcal, which isn't tequila.

Glenbay works pretty good as a creamer.

We've always used either Bailey's, Emmets or Carolans Irish Cream as a creamer replacement when no refridgeration is available... OK... and even when refridgeration is available.

Without a doubt... that goes without saying.

Necie- if you are talking about making coffee in your room, you can buy regular milk (NOT the dehydrated stuff in the box with the 6 plus month shelf life- YUCK ) at the grocery store and then mix it with heavy cream/crema.

Or just use Bailey's.... I like that idea too!

I have been able to find only whipping cream, not half and half, which is fine by me for my coffee, though a bit decadent.

Incidentally, the shelved milk in cartons here is not dehydrated, as Rissask said, but flash-pasteurized by a process patented by a Swedish company called Tetra, which enables it to be shelf stable for long periods of time without refrigeration. Yeah, it tastes different from the milk we are used to, but I've found that as long as I get only the whole milk (not 2% as I used to drink) and refrigerate it, I don't mind it at all. This is what I usually put in my coffee, and cereal...and in a glass to drink when not drinking cerveza.
