When I moved in '97 it was a bit of a flip out- not as yours though. I had been to the area twice in a short time, met folks etc. and knew where I was going to stay. Also brought enough money as a back up so once there I had time to finish my diving education and look for work (all of that took me around three months).
As you are selling so many things you will surely bring some money for back up, if that weren't the case I would probably wave a little red flag like the poster before me.
Before you leave DO inform yourself about the FM3s, job regulations and such if you have never done that- in the end once you start working you don't want to end up in a prison for a day and then be moved out of the country........
