I like your thinking! However, you may want to think this one out in the short time frame you have set for yourself. A few years ago, I spent the day wandering downtwon PDC as the wife got a massage etc. I spent the better portion of a couple hours chatting with a guy about what it takes to move/resside in PDC/Mexico. (The guy may be on this board, so he will remain unidentified for his sake.) I had know idea what was involved, a lot more than I would have imagined. Many people on this board can give you more information, they're doing it. Just make sure you have your ducks in a row so that you can make your Mexico move more than just a long visit.
