for those in the know
I had a interesting conversation with my Puerto Rican friend of mine that works with the same company that I do. I call him my Puerto Rican Friend and he calls me the bald gringo. My friend sometimes tells me things that may or may not be true in order just to bust my go nads. But it is all in fun, and I don't mind being made sport of once in a while.
While I stay at the Days Inn there are many migrant Mexican workers that work at the Days Inn, and many times I try to practice my spanish on them, specially the females, they always seem to get a laugh when I try to flirt with them and stuff in spanish. Anyways my Puert Rican friend was trying to explain to me that some words in spanish may have different meanings depending on where a person may live. For example, my friend was trying to tell me that avacodo which is supposedly a type of fruit or vegatable that goes into guacamole, is also a word to describe a certain private area of a females in Cuba. Now my question for those in the know is this true that avacado's have a more of a meaning then just a fruit. I've been thinking about asking some of the female mexican workers there on their take on this subject. But I'm afraid that I could get slapped for asking someone something about something that may embarrass them. Or they may try to charge me 50 bucks to find out. No credit cards accepted.:p |

Take a look at this website. It's crude but effective. I was unable to locate anything that was similar. Me thinketh your amigo is pulling your chain.

Learning Spanish. Good Luck. I have problems understanding English .Seems like every generation has the need to change the Language. Like (crack) was something we tried not to step on
. Unlike what some people today like to smoke or poke. Seeking Words Rainman |

![]() ![]() =![]() Couldn't find an appropriate slap smiley so I paid extra and went for the spank Was this the avocado thread? Now slightly on topic but a different item. My mother who is from Argentina holds her ears and blushes if I say concha, which I always understood to be seashell. She says that that is also a female body part. |
