I actually think Simon has NOT been as mean as he had in past seasons. In the past he would make a lot of comments on their character/appearance/personality, etc. and I haven't seen as much of that this year. I think his comments are honest and are intended to push them to do better, or to influence the voting audience that they really are not good enough to be the next winner.
Paula, I agree, I cringe whenever she opens up her mouth.
And Randy, well I think he knows what he's talking about... but I'm about sick of his "Dawg, Dude, Man, It was just aw-ite, etc., etc.
