! Not sure where we are staying, but it wont be AI. I just went AI last month 'cause I took my mom and I thought that would be better for her first time. She really enjoyed herself at Sandos Playacar.
I am really more of a hosteler/budget hotel person at heart. Plus, with the $$ I save hosteling, I can afford to return! I was also down in January and we traveled around a bit- Hostelled in Cancun, Playa, & Merida, and stayed with some friends in Tixkokob. It was wonderful. Hoping to do some more exploring this time, but probably wont go quite as far as Merida, since we only have 1 week. May check out some snorkeling/diving on Cozumel.
