In September of 2007, coming from multiple countries, 26 crazy, fun-loving peeps flew, drove or walked into the foothills of Western North Carolina for a big party....For some it lasted for a weekend..for others, over a week!

Now its time to make plans for the 2008 version!!...After much discussion and very careful analysis (and after losing our first set of dates
), we have locked down the
20 room historic Lodge at Highland Lake Inn for the 2008 North Carolina Peep Meet. It would be nice to have most folks book into the Lodge so we can potentially get 100% Peep exclusive use! There is a game room downstairs and a wonderful lobby with fireplace and bar upstairs for hanging out together....
But no matter which room you book, we have developed yet another Peep Discount special....20% off any of our lodging rates for this special weekend for qualified Peeps
SO WHO's INVITED?......that would be any friendly peep asking for the North Carolina Peep Meet Discount special when they book their room
....or ANY Peep who simply wants to join in the fun and lets us know here...and I hope all our friends over In the Roo are "listening" as well. One does not need to stay at our resort to join us for the festivities.
Our room rates include a wonderful complimentary country buffet breakfast. Cottages with full kitchens are also available. Our rates are not cheap...but you get a LOT for the price.
I will also be posting information for other local hotels for those who want to come join us, but want to spend a little less on their rooms...

Best airports are Charlotte/Douglas International (CLT)---a little over 1.5 hour drive away, but with the best connections.
Greenville/Spartanburg (GSP) just down the mountain in South Carolina ...45 minute drive.
Asheville (AVL)...almost always connects through Charlotte...but has some direct flights in...20 minute drive away.
One might even consider the Atlanta airport if you got a really great rate...about a 4 hour drive from here.
Come on...lets make this a huge party....again!
