Well, planner that I am, I am concerned about trudging around with luggage trying to find a place to park it for the night, when all I want to do is get my feet in the sand and a cervasa in my hand!
I'm not sure how long we're going to stay, so I'm reluctant to book some place for a week or five days. We'll be in Mexico for 11 days, but will be going over to Isla for 4-5 days as well. A lot will depend on where we find to stay in Playa and how comfortanble we feel.
Any advice on walk-ups on a Saturday? I guess I was feeling that maybe folks book Sunday through Saturday, and that first night might be an issue finding a decent place.
Oh! I'm not too picky, but AC would probably be nice in May. Also, geek-son that I have, WiFi is an added plus. Otherwise, as we have 11 nights in Mexico and prefer to spend $$$ on good eats and drinks, I'm looking in the $40-70 range. Beach front isn't necessary, but convenience to all the happenings around town helps!
Thanks in advance for any suggestions! Starting the "count-down", and it's 49 days away! WOOHOO!

There are a lot of hotels under the "Trip Planning" tab that fit your criteria (though I don't know about Wifi).
I have stayed at the Luna Blue and can highly recommend it- they have free WiFi.
We looked into Posada Mariposa for our Nov. trip- they fall in your price range.
La Rana is probably within your range too- and you get the bonus of having a great bar 2 steps outside your door. And I think they may have WiFi.
We loved Posada Freud, too, so if you want to wing it for one night, then stay there, I can recommend them (if you don't mind music until about midnight)
Other budget hotels we looked at include Maya Bric, Lab Nah, Alux, and Rosa Miridar (sp?). I know some people here have recently stayed at Maya Bric and Alux- and gave them the thumbs-up!
Good luck!
