Hola Steve!
There is a wholesale toy store where toys are like from 1 to 3 dollars in Avenida Colosio, If someone is interested in going shopping there, maby we can set up a toy shopping shuttle, minimum purchase is 300 pesos, any way I can assist count me in Steve!

Excellent initiative, I've already sent something directly to Father Quinn.

Just one thing, though, as I didn't see a correction to Steve Ryberg's original post: remember Día de los Reyes Magos is celebrated on the 6th, and not on the 5th of January, lest anyone show up at the church on the wrong day.

Maybe I shouldn't have posted this, the kids would be much happier if they got presents both on the 5th AND the 6th...

Again we've been distracted by Wilma and getting various things taken care of since then, but after Thanksgiving has duly passed, we'll put up an announcement for this year's toy drive. You can go ahead and come by if you have something, however!

Steve,
I am trying to organize our luggage for our trip and thought some other peeps would have this question also. What gifts/ age groups are you still really short on? I realize that it is still early, but know that there are some gift that would be greatly appreciated but not donated. A list of age apropiate gifts will be greatly apreciated.

great idea..........bring it back out to catch attention. also books and movies? someone asked about some of these items. seeing playa last weekend made me realize how much the sleepy little town is moving forward.

kinda off-topic but yet on-topic...
Is there a place we can drop donations off at when traveling to Playa? Say clothing, toys, books, etc.? In May I'll also probably be buying a bunch of stuff for my wedding and would love to be able to leave it there for use for others in playa (coolers, vases, decorations, wal-mart stuff...). We have goodwill/salvation army, so was just wondering where I can make a drop while there?

Well, I think it might catch Steve's attention better if it had been posted to the actual "Xmas toy drive at Playa Maya" thread over on the News, Gossip Forum. That said I'm going to merge this thread with that one to see if we can get Steve's attention.
