Nursefeet, no snorkeling at the Riu Palace, great beach though. Can't comment on IB's.
I did see couple of fish when I was kayaking outside the swimming area in front of the Palace last year though. Take a James and Anna tour and snorkel in the cenotes. |

The Barcelo looks very nice!
Would you recommend spending time at both the Barcelo and the Iberostar Lindo? (In a 10 day or 2 week period?) Will it waste a whole day? We stayed at the Melia Caribe Tropical in Punta Cana, and when we arrived at 4PM our roon was not ready until 10PM!
I just don't want another repeat of that. We are town between the two because I love what I have heard about the snorkeling at the Barcelo. I also saw a video of the Barcelo, and it seemed great. We also love the honeymoon suite at the Lindo. If you have stayed at either of these resorts, what was your check-in experience like? Thanks!

Stayed at the Barcelo last spring. Wish I was there right NOW! The grounds are stunning and the beach and water are absolutely gorgeous! I am somewhat picky (Hmmmm...wonder what my wonderful family might add to that???
) and we were so very happy here. The snorkeling is good out by the island and although some people might think I'm impatient ( quiet Dear!) I didn't think there were any service problems during the busy Spring Break week. Vacation is what you make of it! Slow down and enjoy the view....it's still breathtaking whether you have a cocktail in your hand or not! Have a great Thanksgiving every one!!
