Copacabana - good room choices in particular??
Just wondering for those who have been to this hotel if there is a particular area or room that is good? I know there are really no oceanviews but do prefer higher level rooms.
Thanks for any help. |

We were at the Copa last year. The resort has six bldgs. with three floors each - three bldgs. on each side of the walkway. We stayed in the 2nd building on the right, walking from the lobby toward the pool, on the 2nd floor. All rooms look onto the central walkway. I would think all buildings are basically the same. The two buildings farthest from the lobby though are probably a little quieter as they're the farthest from the theater, which is adjacent to the lobby. Hope this helps some. BTW, we loved the rooms and beach at the Copa.

We were at the Copacabana in 2002 and had a great vacation.
Our room was in Bldg 6, the one closest to the pool/beach, on the top floor. We were in the third room from the beach end of the building (sorry can't remember the room #). Here's a panoramic picture taken from the balcony: And here is a picture of the ocean view from the balcony (with lots and lots of zoom): We enjoyed this room location because it put us approximately halfway between the beach and the lobby. Hope this helps. |

Do you have room in your suitcase for another person?!? I've been to the Copa twice in the last year, and would love to find an excuse to go back. My vote for a room would be for one in the last buildings closest to the beach. Once you make that beautiful walk up to the lobby for breakfast, and head back to the beach for the day, a room in those buildings would be the most convenient if you need to return for something. It's also the best location as far as being away from the theater and disco noise... and don't forget to sneak down to the beach after dark for a walk. The lights of Cozumel are beautiful! Have a great trip...

Sorry, I'm not much help in that department. The food is not that big a deal to me... always tastes fine, because I don't have to cook it! Speaking of which, must go put a turkey in... Happy Thanksgiving all!
