[kc-to-playa]

I am staying at the Grand Mayan in May. I searched the site for info on this resort, but there is not a lot - perhaps because it is a timeshare property? I didn't choose the resort, just tagging along on someone else's selection!

I have read up about the resort on Trip Advisor, but I am curious if anyone on this site has stayed there and can give me their perspective.

I know the resort is huge and we will either be doing alot of walking or taking the resort shuttle. I am curious as to how you found was the easiest way to get to Playa. Did you take a taxi or the public transport?

Also, can you tell me about the restaurants on the property, particularly Tramonto (the "fancy" restaurant)?
