Was wondering If there are any forum folk from NYC. We will be In Manhattan for five days January 26th to the 31st. Was wondering If there may be a potential forum folk get together.

I'm from Long Island, NY, but live in Texas. However, I won't be missing the snow that's supposed to fly. :p

Excellent Shammy. Dinner and Drinks I guess. Any suggestions for a place to hook up?
We will be close to times square. But can meet anywhere in the city.

I hope there is three feet of snow. Its one thing I wish we got more of In Texas.

3009 Maple Ave. 75201. Please send us some. We so love it and never really get to play in it even though we got a little last year and took some really fun pics. But we dont get it much.

Im hoping for a good 4 or 5 day snow. 3 - 4 inches a day. Oh what fun that would be.

OK... just for you, Tstar... I'm going to wish all our NC snow on you this winter. After growing up in NE and then in Upstate NY for 8 years... I would be perfectly content to never have to deal with another snowstorm ever.

Oh golly gee...I have no clue...there's only about 2 billion restaurants in Midtown!

We like Mo's Caribbean Grill (for that "beachy" feel

) , but that's not really near Times Square so at this point, your guess is as good as mine. :p

There's quite a few chain type places that are pretty good...ESPN Zone, Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, Planet Hollywood, etc...oh, and there's this really good little Mexican place, can't remember the name of it but I know how to get there and it's right in Times Square...awesome margaritas. Then of course, there's always good 'ol bar hopping!

If it makes no nevermind to you, we would prolly prefer to do more of a daytime...brunchtime...turn into happy hour time though as we DON'T want to take the kiddies along! If its a weekday, I'd ship 'em off to school and then make arrangements for them afterwards....or if it's a Sunday (even better for us!

Just cannot do Saturday as Chris bartends that night and it's very difficult for him to switch (since he only works one day a week there). He's more able to take the day off his regular job. You figure out YOUR schedule and let me know.

Guess there's a bit of time to iron out the details and even if no one else can make it into the city (and why not?

)...Chris and I can be entertaining....or so we keep telling ourselves!

Uh yeah, then you'll be spending time in NYC without ME! :p

Although the first snowfall is kinda pretty and all...in the city, it gets messy REAL fast!

yes, yes he has !!! Snow in Dallas means Dallasites driving on snow, which is just plain dangerous, I 'm suprised I survived the '84 New Years snow storm there. Luckily down here , we just shut everything down and go home if it's gonna be lower than 34 degrees... it's called "takin a cold day"
