I am going to say this.......As someone who works in Long Term Care it can be a real pita for some of our patients who still have very long hair. For the most part it is usually very thin & hard to manage...Even if they are still relatively independent with their care it can be diffcult for them to deal with...I am sure some loss of finger dexterity/strength comes into play. With the Alzheimers patients it is damn near impossible to brush their hair if it long.
