Bump, I guess it's just that I don't have a problem with the minimum Canadian content rule. I think it's a positive and not a negative, in fact.
If we didn't have that we might as well be American, watching their TV and listening to their music- and I think it's good to encourage and support our own brand of culture, is all. The world would be pretty boring if there was one country producing all the entertainment.
Artists often succeed for reasons other than getting airplay- it's marketing and money, for a lot of them. (look at Britney Spears, with her complete lack of talent. Look at the New Kids on the Block! Milli Vanilli!
