It WILL be crowded in summer, mostly with Bears fans. Personally I would go shorly after Labor Day. Less crowds, shops still open and WI usually has great fall weather.

Thanks. In the summer, our kids will be 11 and 13 and they both love to camp, hike and be outdoors. We'd love to go in the Fall; however, the girls will be back in school then so we're currently planning a trip for August. Guess I'd better get moving on reservations.
