Standard or Jr. Suite @ Barcelo Maya?

Trying to decide between room categories at the Barcelo Maya. Is a Jr. Suite worth the extra money for two adults for 9 nights? What are the differences between the categories?

I was just asking a question.

I am far from a "cheapo." I only wanted to know if the Jr. Suite was worth the extra money. If the Master Suite was available I would have selected it.

That link was very helpful, unlike replies from another member (not mentioning any names) . Thanks again!

Hey...c'mon now....she's a "special" person, and the normal rules about being polite don't apply to "speical people" - therefore, she's entitled to be disrespectful! :p

Sorry that it looks like some of your responses don't pertain to anything...I had a little "cleaning" up to do in here.

Carry on!

Oh and Boricua, the junior suite is only worth it if YOU think spending the extra money is worth it. It's not necessary as far as space and being comfortable is concerned as the difference is only a few more feet...but if YOU feel that you'd like that and it's not out of your budget, then I say go for it!

Hi - We stayed that the Barcelo a few years ago, and had the Master suite. We didn't book the upgrade through the travel agent, but instead emailed the resort and upgraded through E. Cervantes (can't remember the website, however, so you'll have to go to the unofficial Barcelo site to find it). We did this about 12 weeks out, and paid $60 more a night for the upgrade from a regular room. The Mstr. suites are awesome - lots of room, two balconies, two fridges, etc. Was well worth the upgrade. If you're able to do the same, however, request buildings 2 or 3 if you can. We were in building 5, which sits next to the disco, so it was a bit louder in the evening (unless, of course, you're at the disco!).
