My father was married (to Ruth) before he married my mom. After my dad died, then my grandparents ( dad's parents) we went through all the 'stuff' and found out that when dad married mom, his divorce from Ruth wasn't final yet. Sooooo - we are all (10 of us) illegitimate
And my sister and I are the only ones that know this. Figured what is the use of telling mom now - she's 77 and in an assisted living facility - it would only hurt her. BUT - when mom passes away we will be telling our brothers. My sister and I are somewhat strange and think its really kind of funny!
