Akumal (beach side): the Loncheria (lunch counter next to Super Chomak) is excellent for lunch and dinner. Imelda's Ecocina next to the dive shop is great for lunch. Turtle Bay Bakery is excellent for every meal. La Cueva del Pescador is probably our favorite dinner spot. Down by Yal Ku, Que Onda is also great, homemade linguini made at least 10 different ways. It's a block from where we stay, so we love going there our first night when we're tired of driving/traveling. We did repeats of La Cueva and Que Onda last trip.
On the pueblo side, El Ultimo Maya is a great hole in the wall local place, right down the main street on the right. There are a couple of chicken places open midday, too. Didn't get there yet.

People like Leo's Pizzeria in Chemuyil; we haven't been there yet. Also have heard raves about Loncheria El Parque in Chemuyil (next to the kids' park). They're only open for dinner I think.
