I agree with your packing stratagy I don't know that a couple going to an AI for their honeymoon would want to spend the first day of their vacation shopping for shampoo at the Walmart in Playa.

.I don't go AI very much and I know nothing about the location of your hotel but I would suggest a flashlight on the chance you might want to take a walk on the beach at sunset or later. Those beaches can get really dark at night. Some plastic baggies for your dirty and/or wet clothes/shoes. A note pad and pen so you can take notes and write a trip report when you get back!!!
Beyond that...take a smile and and open heart and enjoy every minute of your trip!!
