Recent Pictures of Royal Hideaway?

Hi....has anyone posted any pictures online somewhere of a recent trip to the Royal Hideaway? We are going 12/26 and it would be cool to see someones recent photos of the resort.

Hello All. I just got engaged yesterday and I was thinking of taking my fiance to Playa Del Carmen for our Honeymoon....how is The Royal Hideaway? I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Do a search on this site for Royal Hideaway or Honeymoon, you will find a ton of reviews on the resort. I just returned from my honeymoon at the RH and thought it was the best decision ever! Please let me know if you have any specific questions.

Question, what kind of room did you get?

We did the standard luxury room, there are only a couple "real" ocean view rooms and it is very costly to reserve them. The resort is set up as villas, each villa containing 16 rooms, 8 upstairs and 8 downstairs in a circle format. The resort is very lush and tropical and we had a gardenview that was amazing! I have heard that Villa 23 is a great one and specifically room 2337 is a great standard room. We met a couple who had an ocean room and saw there view and really did not think it was worth the extra money at all, it was not full ocean view. Hope that helps!

I agree with Azgirl -

The standard room is fine and the upgrade is not worth the ocean view. My wife and I went there on our honeymoon, met another couple who had the ocean view suite, and we got to see it. No big deal, really. We thought our room was awesome.

However, if you can get the *free upgrade for honeymooners* then of course get it - it wasn't available the day we checked in, and they were going to move us on our seconnd day, but we didn't want to bother with it.

You will love it and congrats on getting married
