Royal Hideaway Rooms

Can anyone tell me how Royal Hideaway is about granting room requests?

I had booked an Ocean View Room in Feb which I have to cancel. Now it looks like to book it a week later it's going to cost me a ton more money on top of what we're already spending for the room - and that's if I can even get an ocean view room. What I'm thinking of doing now is booking a standard room but requesting an upper floor near the beach.

The ocean view, in my opinion (and others on this site) really is not worth it. It is not a true ocean view at all. I mean, it is nice but the cost is just not worth the value.

The standard room is awesome, and in all honesty you spend maybe 15% of your time there anyway.

I requested a top floor room, in an email prior to my arrival. They replied back and told me they would do their best to accommodate us, and when I checked in upon arrival, it was in their notes and they did honor the request.

Hope that helps--

Im totally agree with texan... it will be better if you request a room in an upper floor ,besides you wont spend that much time in the room and is a lot of difference in the price!....

Well...we'll be spending a little extra time in the room than normally -- one of the reasons we're going is to make a baby. I thought the ocean view would make it a little bit more romantic. Although the majority of people on this site don't seem to think too much of those rooms.

I had a standard room last time, and will next, too.

Royal Hideaway rooms

We thought the ocean view room was a total waste of money... And I agree with the others about an upper level room...

Good luck...

I can understand that. I was there on my honeymoon and of course spent much time in the room. We thought it was very romantic - although we are through makin babies!
