Your lucky, many years ago customs wouldnt allow peanut butter in. Before, you could buy it here, I know someone in Punta Allen have a friend bring some down-it was not allowed to be brought in.
As for green light-red light-green light really dont give you a free pass. There a few things that sends a red flag-one are coolers-they dont want any food brought in. But if anything looks suspcious at all they will do a search. I also think the busier the airport is-the less chance of an inspection unless you gett he red light.
