It is very difficult to engage her in conversation, she confuses very easily. I can see deep in her eyes that she is trying very hard to comprehend and retain the conversation, but then she glazes over and I can see the sadness there.
We all want to have hope that she will improve but with each visit I have no choice but to accept that she's not the vibrant, active Mom she was.
I want my old Mom back.

Dear Carole and Rick
I am so very sorry for what you must be going thru. It must be absolutely heartbreaking and I feel your pain.

Enjoy having your moms even if its just to let them know how very much you love them. You will treasure these moments.
