I've eaten there three times and was happy twice. The only mistake we made the first time was varying from our routine and ordering a steak instead of the arrachera. Our steaks were mediocre at best, tough and overcooked with not much flavor. Following Voltaire's dictum, "Once a philosopher, twice a pervert", the next two times, I got the arrachera and found it as good as the original HC on 1st.

Of course, it's possible for any restaurant to have a bad night, not trying to discount your experience at all.
