construction at Palladium
I turned down a better deal at the Barcelo for the Palladium as I was reading some negative reports of construction noise at the Barcelo. Now I hear there is construction adjacent to the Colonial Palladium where I'm booked next month.
Any reports on the noise and disruption factor. I'm seriously considering rebooking elsewhere if it is too troublesome. Don't pull punches. Thanks. |

To bad you didnt go to Barcelo because of the construction. There is no noise and you wouldnt even know its going on. Only one person reported a problem back in September but all of us other people who went didnt hear hardly anything, cant even see it unless you walk way over to where they are building and look through the trees. I laugh evey time I hear people are afraid to go because of the construction. The grounds are huge, its not happening near the resort it self.
Palladium from what I read is a great resort I have not heard of any construction going on there. Anyone reading DONT BE AFRAID OF CONSTRUCTION AT BARCELO ITS NOTHING REALLY, YOU WONT NOTICE IT AT ALL |

Yes, there is construction going on at the Palladium. They are building new villas next to the Colonial side, as well as a new beach bar. The work will only be done during the day but I'm not sure how loud it is. I've heard several people say they could indeed hear construction noise while others said they couldn't. And they will continue during the holidays. If it really bothers you, ask to be moved to the Kentenah side.
Shouldn't have passed up the Barcelo just because of the construction. As Pam said, you can't hear or see anything. I was just there and wouldn't even have known it was going on if I didn't already know and go looking for it. |

We just returned from our Honeymoon there this morning - our Mayan suite was just about as close to the construction as you can get - R-3201 - and it wasn't a problem at all. With the doors closed, and the AC on, you didn't even hear it.
When we got there and I heard that, I was genuinely worried because we were so close, and plus the pool is close. Wasn't a problem AT ALL. |

We were at the Palladium December 4th through the 11th, and while we could hear some construction going on near us...It was nothing when at the pool - regular or adult - or the ocean...On a scale of 1 to 10 I wouldn't even rate it a 1....could barely hear it and never saw it... |
