I guess I must carry an anti-Anglo/Irish prejudice I wasn't previously aware of, given my greater identification with my German-Swedish half. And if my son ends up living Mexico and identifying with its culture or people more, we'll see that he's being divisive and is biased against gringos...

If you believe that raceless society is racist you have a problem. The only way to get past the race problems in this country is to treat everyone the same. To say someone chose to live black or white is only said to divide this country. Maybe you have lived in Mexico to long. Most schools in the United States don't even ask for race anymore.
