Just make sure they donate in cash, enfermera, cuz a check made payable like that might be hard to cash at the bank!

In all seriousness, in his later years, my father used to ask us kids to make a donation to his favorite charity rather than give him a gift. I used to do both... he had such a sweet tooth that candy was always a hit!

A good notion, Karen, that we've been using for a few years now. My sister-in-law has been buying us a gift membership to the Humane Society for a few years. My broker used to give us a subscription to Wine Spectator each year, but we asked them to cancel that and make a gift to the food bank we volunteer at instead. This weekend we're attending a Christmas party at Mrs. B's chums, and instead of taking her a hostess gift, we've made a contribution to the food bank in her name and she gets a tax receipt and a thank you letter from them. Little things like that can really add up.

Are you sure 'bout that Miss Susie Q? I'm seeing $79 fares every weekend in January. I may be in your hammock sooner than you think!

Karen,

All will be revealed in an upcoming post 1n the boobs on the beach trip report.

Look for something titled “Worst case scenarios for trailer park residents”.

Mike.

Ditto Seakony. I'd also like to have a healthy New Year, & an end to war & strife in the world.

Okay, but you have to admit comfy pj's are cool..I have several pairs of flannel footie pjs that I love! Don't get to wear them often but great!

Nice and comfy, Lil G... but hard to take corners quickly on polished hardwood floors!! (unless of course you have the safety-minded ones with the rubber dots on the bottom)

I prefer to get comfy by sporting a silk smoking jacket.
