Does anyone know anything about Hotel Acanto formerly Chichen Baal Kah?

Actually Chichen Baal Kah... (on Calle14 just off 5th Avenue)
This is probably one of my favorite places to stay in Playa del Carmen. The property is composed of 7 apartments (adults only!) that have a private bedroom and kitchen/studio with a rollout bed. They have an extremely nice pool on the main floor and a rooftop lounge/tanning area. It used to be available exclusively through Turquoise Reef Group but I see they no longer list it. If you happen to stay there, you'll be pleased.

Hotel Acanto

Sorry about the typo. Know about the former quite well. Trying to learn about the latter. I heard it has new owners.

We stayed there last year over the holidays for 3 weeks. You'll find some pix in my member gallery in the multimedia section as well as on my web page. It's a great place to stay. Though I've noticed that the rates have gone up significantly since our stay there last year... low season rates are higher than what we paid as a holiday rate last year. I guess that was to be expected.

Turqoisereefgroup.com used to own this place but they have sold. I have contacted them for the new owner contact info but I have not received any replies. If anyone finds out anything let us know
