Me personally I like to run the stretched format. It seems to show more theater wide effects |

and from what I understand you should have an output for your recorder etc. but if you have tivo built in your recorder there may be a problem with programming. I'll read up some more and let you know. |

Hi Folks, I've got the DLP Sammy "Kirk" (5085) model with the Directv HD Tivo...really love it as Tivo really redefines the tv experience...the delay problem in the DLP HD is taken care of via my Yamaha receiver (which I also bought when I bought the HDTV)...one thing led to another and all of a sudden your broke (-:
Tivo HD harddrive upgrade is next on my list...just wish they had HD capable DVD burner.... |

There are multiple outputs on the Tivo box for sending to your tv and also to a recorder. There is even an option in Tivo to save things directly to a vcr. You can see all the inputs/outputs of the tivo unit here.
I thought I had read some info at the tivo forum about issues with DVD recorders, but I don't remember what they were. |

The Operation was a success! :p
I know have a Tivo unit with 156 hour recording capcity. The install wasn't bad. Worst part was getting the darn power cable removed from the original hard drive. Only took me about 20 - 30 minutes (including a couple breaks to snarf down a piece of pizza), and I would say about 10 minutes was spent trying to remove the dam power cable. If y'all have any specific questions, just let me know. |
