Give her time, she is 17, it might happen. People do tend to gain as they get older unless they change their ways. And if she is getting positive reinforcement for being heavy, then their is no motivation. She is very apple shaped too, and the visceral belly fat is the kind that is really unhealthy.


Why are people saying totally opposite things as they say in the Diet and Exercise thread? Why the double standard?

I think what you're missing, when you point out the D&E thread, is that current "ideals" promote stick-thin, unhealthy habits, not eating-well, exercising HEALTHY ones. Striving for that ideal, though it is natural for a small handful of women, is FAR more dangerous than living with the body Mother Nature gave you. NO ONE is advocating obesity here... just "normality" and a realization that there is more to life than looking like a holocaust victim and obsessing about trying to.
