hand in hand with my girlfriend on a lazy Sunday afternoon in the DF, I'm nearly at my apartment building near the edge of the Zona Rosa. I notice a motorcycle ride the wrong way down the street and slow down as the passenger of the bike hops off and runs up to me. Soon, his Browning Hi-Power 9mm is at my neck and he insists "Dame tu reloj."

Alejandra squeals in English "Give it to him" over and over as I grudgingly pass the Rolex Submariner over to this punk... my fingers reluctant to release the clasp.

It didn't keep good time anyway.

My SS TAG broke (still got it).

My SS Omega Seamaster got flooded on a dive (to be later repaired by a friend of the director of engineering at Rolex... thanks again, Magali!)

The Seiko Auto 200m diver's sits by my desk, waiting to be wound and worn.

With the clock on my cellphone, I find it hard to justify a watch these days.

The fewer watches you own, the less you have to do twice a year when the spring ahead/fall behind takes place! There's always one I forget to change, and I panic when I look at it later in the day.

Karen, look again. Can you not see 4 kitties sitting there primly and radiating out from the center of the face? I'm not quite sure why they each have two tails - maybe there's another cat sitting behind each of them? - but I see cats when I look at this picture!

(And if you buy me one, too, I will make it worth your while!)

Susie: When I first tried to see the kitties in the watch, I couldn't. But now I CAN!! You're too funny! You must have a very creative streak in you. And probably do great in those ink blot tests too!

As for your comment: "(And if you buy me one, too, I will make it worth your while!)", I'd be more than happy to look around for one if you want. Won't be coming down til end of February (since the Mexican post can be risky, I assume that's how you'd want it delivered - in person at around 7 AM unannounced??) Just let me know.

I TOLD you there were kitties in there! Dunno how creative I am, just have an eye for kitty-cats, wherever they may be! (Thank you for validating my insanity...)

As for 7am, the way things are going, if you get here right then, you may have to wait in line! But, yes, in person would be wonderful (and the price you paid for yours would be wonderful also!).

Thanks!

I hate jewelery of any kind hanging on me. The cell phone is accurate, so that's what I use. My wife on the other hand likes those cheap digital watches with alarms, and she uses the alarms a lot. She typically gets about 3 years out of one before it dies.

Great! So I wasn't totally crazy when I thought you were talking about that watch being the cat poster watch, Karen! But, I really do like the real cat poster watch too!
