What Watch do you have??

We have discussed DEET, Digital cameras, MP3 players, packing, sunglasses, boobs...

What watch do you like to wear when you travel??
Does it have an alarm?
Is it a "Dual time" model?
Can you wear it in the ocean?
Is is comfy to wear?
.....what is your favorite watch and why??

PS: I'm sure some of you will say "What watch? I'm on holiday!!" So I guess this is aimed at those who wear watchs!!

A subject near and dear to me :)

I love watches - I am a watch freak ....I wont say how many I own....

Watches are about the only jewelry that I do wear !!!

But none have alarms
None show dual times
I have one that is really "waterproof".

My stainless steel Seiko is my fav....followed by a Swiss Army one I just bought...I consider these "casual" vacation type watches.....(not for dress up or work)

I never wear a watch. Main reason being I have wrists the size of tooth picks and wearing a watch just bugs me.

Plus, with my car, cell phone, computer's etc. all have clocks, I never need a watch any more.

I always wear a watch - got about 8 of 'em - none very expensive, none with alarms, and none with dual time modes. Two are "cat" watches (surprising, huh!), one from David and one from his sister which she bought at the Louve in Paris (famous cat poster). I decide which to wear depending upon the other jewelry I have on. Last time to Playa was the first time I only took one watch with me - a waterproof Timex I picked up at a sporting goods store on sale for $15.
Can ya tell I'm off today with time to kill?? I just spent the last 15 minutes taking multiple shots of my watch, editing, and posting! Watch out or you'll see photos of the kitty watches too!

I only own one watch. And Mr. Rissask doesn't have any! He hates wearing a watch.

I just take my one with us when we go on vacation, and wear it in the evenings sometimes. Who needs a watch on vacation? (oops sorry Electra, I never read that until after. )

I DID have a waterproof sporty Timex at one point with one of those funky velco straps- but the battery died and I never bothered to get a new one. That was handy for the ocean, but those straps take awhile to dry. One like Karens would be better- $15 huh? Maybe I will have to buy one!:p

We do have a travel alarm to get us up in the AM for tours or whatever. Had a bad experience with a failed wake up call once.

I, too, love watches. I have probably around a dozen. Of course, not all of them have batteries that work. Right now I seem to always be wearing my Chico's watch. It has a cool engraved silver band. I really want a stainless steel TAG or a Movado, maybe for Christmas.

I only have one watch, and the only time I take it off is when I have to shower. It is nothing fancy, just an ordinary watch.

Thanks! I love Swatches...I need more than one! I always thought they were expensive until I looked...it was only like $40. I see a few more on their site that I want now! I didn't see any cat designs for you though, Karen! That's a cool cat watch that you took a picture of!

I occassionally make beaded jewelry, including watches, so I wear my "testers" in the hope that someone will say "Hey, cute watch (or bracelet or earrings); where did you get it?" Shameless I know, but I have a bead habit to support and I need some income to offset my outgo!! I also have a marvelously tacky watch that my mother in law won in Vegas--it's diamelle encrusted and very sparkly. I like sparkly....

Anyone who is a "Watch freak" (like me) should consider titanium for it's weight and "skin friendly" properties. I have seen some very attractive polished titanium watches.

I just bought myself (for Christmas) a "Casio Tough Solar" model with a psudo-leather strap, Solar powered, dual time, alarm, day/date and all important water resistant to 50 m. I will baptize/innaugurate it one day in a Cenote.

SKM Are you flirting?!

Sparkly.....did somebody say Sparkly.........apparently I'm VERY SPARKLY!

In the immortal words of Jim Carey "you like me your really, really like me!"

Sorry SMK it was there and I had to take it!

As for watches.....

Lemme see three Timex of varying styles and a Gruen that I bought in Jamaica about 14 years ago....... damn have I been married that long? Seems like just, well you know. Will be adding another Timex Expedition series for Christmas if Santa comes through

Brent
