John Edward is a huge fake but more power to him for taking gullible people's money. :p Same with faith healers, and any other type of paranormal type people.

I have a new one David Blaine????? comments?
<!-- / message -->Nothing paranormal about him though!! He is just an extremely talented magician. Amazing guy!!!

I don't believe in any of it. I do, however- believe in coincidences very much.

By the law of averages, from time to time, you will experience a coincidence. And once in a while, by the law of averages- it will be a big one that you will remember and be 'struck' by.

You will be thinking of someone you haven't seen in a while, and they phone you. You will say the same sentence as a friend at the same time, dream something and then it happens...coincidence.

The easiest explanation is usually the right one.

I DO believe in human 'intuition' and think there is a scientific explanation for it.

Unfortunately, we North Americans as a group are way too likely to believe in crap like this (alien visitation, UFOs, astrology, ghosts, angels, crop circles.... and more I won't say) much more than other developed countries.

And can I just add.....mmmm fried backstrap, YUMMY!!

The Amazing Randi. A great debunker of faith healers, psychics, fortune tellers, etc.

As far as David Blaine. Too much camera "trickery" in his specials and 75% of his tricks/illusions can be bought in a neighborhood magic shop. And what's with his stunts? Frozen in an block of ice? Sitting in a plexiglass box for a month? Go back to the card tricks David.

I'm a born-again skeptic.

I agree with that, about the dumb stunts Rick....he was best when he stuck to the street magic stuff.

Hey Squish- where did you get that cowboy hat?? I have been looking for a funky straw hat like that FOREVER.

They look cute with a bikini on the beach.

Just because a person is a hunter does not necessary mean that they are a red neck. Besides most people do not know what a real red neck is anyways.

Surprisingly I will agree with Stogey.

I am as liberal as can be...yet I have killed a deer- and will be again next fall.

My husband is not a 'redneck' IMO, yet he hunts and ice fishes...he also golfs and play poker. To me, a 'redneck' is someone who is prejudiced and coarse and possibly might marry his or her first cousin.:p

Well, I disagree with Rissak (imagine that, eh?)... however, I don't have time to get into the various "coincidences" and "intuititive" experiences that I've had right now. I also think that this type of conversation is best done in a relaxed atmosphere over some drinks and... So I'll leave it at that... until some of you have an opportunity to toss back a few tequilas with me. Did I mention that I worked for a traveling magic show for a year and a half back when I was a teenager? Yup, sworn to secrecy and all. "Magic" is not the same as "coincidences" or "intuitiveness" or even "paranormal" experiences. Magic is nothing more than an artform... some artists are merely more talented than others. The bigger the illusion, the easier it typically is. The best magician's are those that are exceptional at slight of hand.
