On the subject of UFO's , why not Rissak? Why not, parallel universes, etc.

Now Mike...I never said I didn't believe there is life out there in the universe - I believe there likely is, and intelligent life as well. Parallel universes- possibly.

However, I think it is statistically ridiculous to think they are visiting us, is all. The nearest sun that has a planetary system that could even possibly support life is millions of light years away- to think that an intelligent group of aliens would fly all that way, kidnap a yokel from Kansas and stick probes up his butt, then fly home- sheer idiocy.

UFOs are just that- unidentified flying objects- test aircraft from military bases, weather balloons, odd lights, planes, birds, etc.

Your eyes are gullible.... and people are very impressionable. Look at all the evidence for group hallucinations. And did you know that 'UFO sightings' and 'alien adbuctions' were not common until the last century- and particularly after 'War of the Worlds' was on the radio and science fiction books became popular? Hmmm.

I think humans have a need and a desire to believe in the miraculous and the fantastical. It is quite threatening to think we are all alone here and a big cosmic screw-up. But not to me! Science is amazing and wondrous, in my opinion.

Anyway- born again skeptic, as Rick said. Be skeptical people- have an open mind, but not so open your brains fall out.

but as it happens, Kansas apparently has one of the the highest rates of 'alien abduction' reports. So apparently a few people think aliens think it is 'the place to visit'.

(BTW, I didn't mean that people from Kansas are all yokels - just that someone who thinks aliens abduct people are.)
