Mike & I stopped at a little Mexican restaurant on Saturday about noon. I had been eyeing their home-made signs advertising tacos, tamales & tortas for quite awhile.

The interior looks VERY much like a place you might find up on Avenida 30 in Playa.

The tacos were to DIE for! VERY Authentic with HOMEMADE tortillas! We had roast pork and also chicken. They came with chopped cilantro and onions with a tummy greenish sauce (not hot) on the side. I didn't ask the owner/proprietor, but I can only assume she makes the tortillas herself.

I also ordered pozole, which was VERY good! I noticed while we were waiting for our to go order, that someone had ordered a coke, and what they received was an OLD FASHIONED coke in a GREEN GLASS BOTTLE! Amazing! I didn't even know you could get those in Tampa!

The name of the place is MANANITAS. It's located in Tampa on the West side of Armenia Avenue, just north of Hillsborough, across from Blockbuster. YUUM!!!
