I do not know where are you from, but when you go to Safeway or any supermarket, do you bargain?, do you do that at your kid's school?.
What's wrong with some people that when they go to Mexico they get so cheap?
I am sure if you go to Hawaii or Miami you would not dare to do that.
Act the same way you would do it in you own country.
