Exchange Rates & Fees, Bartering Question.
I work for a Bank, so I can order Pesos at wholesale (what the bank pays for them), but when I looked at XE.com it had a slightly better rate.
What's the current rate down in Playa, and please mention any fees that someone might incur. Also, my experiance shopping in Mexico was in Cancun, where bartering was almost required. How to Playa merchants react to someone bartering. I don't want to offend anyone. But hey, I am a guy, always looking for a good deal. Finally, Is it a good idea to get pesos at all? Thanks in Advance. 5 More Days!!! Waahoo.. |

Bartering is very accepted, as long as it is done with a smile- except in proper stores (a door and four walls, where the goods all have price tags).
Start at half of the asking price and go from there.
