He is Murrsay185 and Heather (wife), on the right it Margaret from Holland, I`m out of the frame waiting for him to finish retouching theĻ"hola".
It wasnīt that he was so "proud" it was more of retouching because a lot of people were walking on top of the letters (you canīt see them when coming from the ocean) and also there were some little kids running around. We stood there for almost an hour just chatting about the PlayaInfo idea.

That gentlman is pretty proud of his "hola" - he has stood back and admired it from every angle. It appears that a 'time-share' hawker is getting his attention at the moment.

playawannabe
lotsa folks standing there waving and such right now, that's for sure!

Thanks for noticing,
The "time share hawker" was Jesus (who is not in the time share business) We met him at the Web Cam. We had a great chat about the Playa Info followers and the value of the information in the forum topics. At the same time I tried to keep the Hola readable as it was difficult to see by some of Margarets family.
It was a fantastic day on the beach and we did not mean to monopolize the web cam. Our new friend Margaret from Holland living in London joined us and was text messaging her family in Europe.

We met a few Playa Info people who have insisted on a Post trip-trip report. And it will be posted.

Right now we are home very much missing the warmth of Playa. It is -34C with a wind chill of -46C. Believe me it felt twice as cold as we stepped into the January winter in Manitoba on Thursday night.

Thanks for noticing and if there are any more web cam captures I would love to have them.

A special Hi!! to Jesus and by now Margaret will be getting ready to head home.

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, I keep complaining that here the temp at night has been +9 C degrees.

As I told you Murray, I can't even imagine what is living at -40 C.

I looked out for you guys, but you were very elusive. I was able to spot Margaret twice the same day but after that she also dissapeared from sight, maybe another beach with less people to write and draw her diary (it's a great way to keep memories).

The program I recommend for doing screencaps is Printkey 2000.

It's freeware, and pretty easy to use. And it has an autocapture function that could prove useful.

I uploaded a version onto my website. Seemed like every place I went to download it bombarded me with popups (many freeware sites do this to generate revenue). Figured I would upload it to my site for download so everyone doesn't have to endure the popups.

Enjoy.

Softy and Stogey are due to make a webcam appearance today at I believe 12 noon and 2 pm. Unfortunately we need to go out for a few hours today so I'm hoping someone can capture the moment for us to see later on.....

4PM is not a bad time to write in the sand, the shadows help reading it. But we need id's, so we know who you are. "roxie'sbadboy" may need to be shortened in the sand.

Having recently been there and done that it appears sand messages later in tha day show up much better. As a bonus it appears the kids have gone making repair unnecessary. The heat of the day dries the sand very fast and makes the message hard to read in a few minutes.

Next visit we will include id's.

If anyone sees a cat face in the sand - something along the lines of: >^..^< - will you know it's from me?? (keep an eye out from 2/27-3/4)

Our hotel is on 30th, and the webcam is only up a few blocks (38th), so I definitely think we'll make an appearance some day.
