Our first week, Dec18-25

We arrived to a cool evening. Typical of this time of year. Our family caught up on all the Xmas family stuff and then proceeded with our usual days of lounging on the beach and nice slow walks through town. The town stole part of Micheal Holme's beach. He filed a formal complaint at the Playa Maya. We'll see what happens. Over by North Beach the beach was 6 feet high over the water. Tides, wind and currents are constantly shifting the sand.
The beach looked good so it's time to check out the town. No signs of a bad economy in Playa. Playa north is bubbling with activity. People building and people buying. I met a NY realtor on the beach and he told me it was his first time in Playa. He was coming back by himself in Feb to see if he could purchase something. He asked me what I thought since I'd been done there so many times. I answered back , "do you feel the energy?"
The beach is good, the town is Ok, now how's the food. Jamie greeted us with open arms at Oasis. What hospitality. We were happy that James, Anna and Elsa could join us. The new improved oasis looks good. Nice waterfall too. I ordered my usual whole fish, my daughter the fish soup and plenty of shrimp taco's for my son and wife. We were in heaven. I must admit that fish soup was a hit. I was also very impressed with the stroller Anna has. I wish we had those back when.
The first week was very relaxing waiting for the gang to arrive. We met some lurkers Clark and Laurel which we had many good times with and we met SarahB. This girl in No 1 one on my list of people. I hope many of you get a chance to meet her. We had a great time one night. We started at the Tequila Barrel. Closed The Blue Parrot and then we closed The Santanerra.
During the first week we had some very warm evenings. Xmas eve was very warm so we ate at Casa Del Agua corner of 2nd and 5th. The breeze was cooling us off on the second floor. It's the kind of Xmas eve with the family I will never forget. Aahhhh, week one is over.
