A schedule change announcement can be found on the
Yucatan Express web site which states that service has been suspended into the Port of Morelos due to navigational issues....the channel is too shallow. The regular Friday schedule from Tampa to Merida (Progreso) is not affected by this change and will continue to operate as scheduled.
According to their web site,
Maya Lines will begin ferry service from Miami to Cancun (Calica) in May 2003 with brand new vessels. Their web site is still under construction.
